Maj. Kiggundu Murder Suspects Committed to High Court
Suspects in the Maj. Muhammad Kiggundu

Kampala. Buganda Chief Magistrate, HW Jameson Karemani, on September 14, 2017 committed seven accused persons to the High Court for trial the murder of Maj. Muhammad Kiggundu and his body guard Sgt. Stephen Mukasa.

The accused include acting Tabliq leader Sheikh Yahaya Mwanje, Buyondo Muhammed, Sendegeya Abdu Wahab, Sekandi Musa, Nyanzi Yusuf and Silaj Kalyango Jibril.

The seventh suspect Bruhan Balyejusa who is among the people the people charged with murdering the late AIGP Felix Kaweesi was also charged.

In their submissions, the prosecution said investigations in the matter were complete.

Prosecution alleges that Sheikh Mwanje and his co-accused on  November 26,  2016 at Masanafu, Wakiso District killed Maj.Muhammad Kiggundu and his body guard Sgt. Stephen Mukasa.

The six are also accused of rendering support to the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), a terrorist organisation.

The suspects were further remanded to Luzira Prison.
